Dr Bibhuti Bhusan Pattanaik is the Independent Director and Non-Executive Chairperson of our Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) degree from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneshwar and Master of Science (Agriculture) degree in Entomology and Agricultural Zoology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
He also holds a Post-graduate diploma in Marketing and Sales Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and a diploma in Human Resource Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has also been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Zoology by Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur (UP). He has over 40 years of experience at senior levels in central PSUs and the Government of India in warehousing and the agricultural industry.
He earlier served as Joint Commissioner (S&R) in the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Government of India, as Chairman and Managing Director in National Seeds Corporation Limited and as Managing Director in Central Warehousing Corporation. Subsequently, he was appointed by the Government of India, as Member and later as Chairperson of the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
He currently serves as a Director on the Boards of Prabhat Agri Biotech Limited, National E-Repository Limited and Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.
Mangala Radhakrishna Prabhu is the Non-Executive, Independent Director of our Company. She holds a Bachelor’s of Law degree from University of Mumbai.
She has over 47 years of experience in finance, foreign exchange, and human resources. She was previously associated with Union Bank of India as General Manager – Large Corporates.
She also serves as a Director in Siyaram Silk Mills Limited, Kesoram Industries Limited, Ladderup Finance Limited, Aspira Pathlab & Diagnostics Limited, NKGS Co. Op. Bank Limited, Agriwise Finserv Limited, Anand Housing Finance Private Limited, Fort Finance Limited, Ladderdup Corporate Advisory Private Limited, Ladderdup Wealth Management Private Limited, and Lykis Limited.
Upma Goel is the Non-Executive, Independent Director of our Company. She brings over three decades of leadership experience across the BFSI sector, with deep expertise in corporate governance, capital markets, M&A’s, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance.
An Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) -certified Independent Director, Upma serves on the boards of several leading financial services organizations, including Religare Finvest Limited, Care Health Insurance Limited, Agriwise FinServ Limited, and Farmers Fortune (India) Private Limited, where she provides strategic guidance and robust oversight.
Upma previously served as Group Chief Financial Officer of Piramal Enterprises Limited, where she led financial governance, capital allocation, and regulatory reporting, and played a pivotal role in the organization’s restructuring and integration initiatives. Prior to this, she was the Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited, where she oversaw the bank’s IPO and its transition into a scheduled commercial bank. Earlier, she served as Group Deputy CFO at L&T Finance Holdings, contributing to strategic M&A and financial transformation initiatives.
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Upma holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Delhi. She has received several industry accolades, including recognition as one of India’s most impactful CFOs.
Amith Agarwal is the Whole-Time Director and Chief Executive Officer of our Company. He holds a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree from Raj Rishi College, Alwar, University of Rajasthan. He has also participated in executive education and seminars on agribusiness at Harvard Business School. He has over 17 years of experience in the agricultural industry.
He has been associated with our Company since January 14, 2007 and with Agriwise Finserv Limited since April 1, 2016. He is involved in developing their corporate partnerships, brand & market strategies and legal & financial reporting. In the past, he was invited to the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 organised by Agriculture and Horticulture, Government of Rajasthan.
He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO). He has been a key speaker at summits organised by FICCI and other leading industry bodies. He serves as a member of the advisory board of directors for Global Pulse Confederation since January, 2023, and has been appointed as a Member of the Managing Committee of the India Pulses and Grains Association in 2025.
Amit Goyal is the Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director of our Company. He holds a Master’s of Arts degree from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University. He has over 24 years of experience in the agricultural industry.
He has been associated with our Company since incorporation. He has also been associated with Star Agribazaar Technology Limited as the Managing Director and is involved in driving the growth of “agribazaar”, India’s first private electronic mandi.
Prior to joining our Company, he was associated Ram Chander Banarasi Dass, as a Sales Head of agri commodities. He also serves as a Director in Agriwise Finserv Limited, Bikaner Agrimarketing Private Limited, Star Agrilogistics Private Limited, Farmersfortune (India) Private Limited, Star Agriinfrastructure Private Limited, Star Agribazaar Technology Limited, Shree Ram Megafood Park Private Limited, Ashish Vinimay Private Limited and Staragri Services Pte. Ltd.
Amit Khandelwal is the Managing Director of our Company. He holds a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree and a Master’s of Commerce degree (business administration) from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He has over 22 years of experience in the agricultural industry.
He has been associated with our Company since January 14, 2007, and is involved in infrastructure, operations, understanding market dynamics, and the development of custom financial products tailored to the needs of the agricultural sector.
He is also involved in the development of innovative solutions for contract farming, weather financing and seed financing. Prior to joining our Company, he held the role of Business Head – Seeds in Amit Industries.
Suresh Chandra Goyal is the Whole-Time Director of our Company. He holds a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree from S.P.U College, University of Rajasthan. He has over 43 years of experience in the agricultural industry.
He has been associated with our Company since January 14, 2007. Prior to this, he served as the head of the agri procurement and supply chain business in M/s. Vidhya Prakash Vinod Kumar, a general merchant and commission agent dealing with spice, foodgrains, oilseeds and edible oils.
He has been associated with Agriwise Finserv Limited since April 1, 2016 and is involved in their business operations. Previously, he served as the Secretary of the Mandore Mandi Khadya Padarth Vyapar Sangh Union.
